About

Mark Changco is an independent graphic designer, writer, photographer, and illustrator based in North Hollywood, CA. He’s worked with a medium scale advertising agency and e-commerce companies.

As a co-founder of DOZE he documents artists and their works and maintains the site aiming to instigate a culture of creativity amongst its followers. Mark lives his life with the DOZE’s motto burning in his heart; he is “perpetually pushing forward” in pursuit of the things he loves. Inspired by art, his faith, music, surfing and creativity in general, he moves through life facing its challenges head on. These days Mark got his time split between his work in advertising and his art advocacy project/brand called DOZE.

From 2009 to 2017, he was a designer and product photographer at a couple of e-commerce companies where he worked on a range of products and projects for marketing.

Mark graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts in Advertising. Even during his college years he excelled both in the field of design and visual arts.

Safe to say that Mark’s gonna be wherever creativity and progression is.

Process

As a designer, his work centers around the intersection of design, media, and technology and often focuses on editorial design, branding, and interactive projects. As a writer, his work has focused people about who they are and how they came to be. Recent research has focused on how emerging technologies effect the graphic design process, authorship in graphic design, neutrality, and postmodernity.
